Timber frame garden room/office Dawlish: update

Timber frame garden room/office Dawlish, Devon: driveway and drainage works

This week we have been concentrating on the area surrounding the garden room/office. We began on Monday with a 1.5 ton digger grading back the ground, then 20mm stone scalpings were compacted down with a whacker plate. The area was then covered with a weedblocking membrane and finished with 10mm golden gravel. The remainder of the lane leading up to the road was graded with topsoil in readiness for turfing and sowing with meadow flower seed. Aco drainage has been laid alongside the building under the victorian wall and into a soakaway in the garden 5m away. Our next job is to finish off fitting the larch cladding to the back of the building.
